I understand that if I am hired, this job applicant agreement will become part of my employment arrangement with the Company (Baucom's Nursery). The use of this application does not necessarily indicate there are no jobs open and does not obligate the company in any way. I must be able to perform the essential job functions and satisfactorily complete the employment process which includes successfully completing a post-job offer with a pre-employment exam when required, pre-employment drug testing, satisfactory reference checks; completion of employment eligibility authorization (I-9) and any other required licensing, certification or education requirements. I agree to furnish any and all required information needed to evaluate my qualification for employment.

I agree to follow the safety and work rules of the Company. I agree to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and weekend, holiday and shift work when required by the Company.

I understand that if the Company hires me, I will be an “at-will” employee, working without a contract (written or verbal) and all other policies are conditions of employment in addition to “at-will”. I understand I have the right to terminate my employment with the Company at any time and without notice and the Company has the same right. Only the President of the Company has the authority to make other agreements.

I understand any false, incomplete or misleading information on this application or given in interviews will be grounds for immediate termination of employment at any time it is discovered.

I agree that a photocopy, fax, or electronic copy (PDF) of this authorization may severe as an original.

I hereby acknowledge and agree that I am a prospective or current employee of Baucom’s Nursery and that Baucom’s may request that I submit to a physical examination for purposes of determining my fitness to work for Baucom’s in certain positions, I hereby give my consent to a physical examination, including, but not limited to, the collection of a blood, urine or breath sample to be submitted for an alcohol, drug or controlled substance, or any combination thereof, abuse screening test. Further, I hereby consent to the release of the test results to those Company officials who make employment decisions for the Company. I understand that any positive result from such test, like any other pre-employment investigation, which indicates my inability to satisfactorily perform the job for which I am applying, may preclude my employment. Further, I understand that my failure to execute this voluntary consent will result in my not being further considered for employment.

I understand that Baucom’s Nursery will attempt to verify statements made on my application and made during my employment interview. I authorize the Company to contact references and former employers as indicated. When contacted by the Company, I authorize my previous employers to verify the information given on this application and during the employment interview. I authorize past employers, references and any other persons to answer all questions asked concerning my abilities, character, and previous employment record. I understand it is possible that prior employment records may not be accurate and I release the Company (including its officers, employees, agents or representatives) and all former employers from any liability as a result of furnishing and receiving reference information. Failure to sign this agreement will be considered as a withdrawal of my application for employment.

I authorize Baucom’s Nursery and Employment Screening Resources, Inc or a reasonably equivalent investigative search service to perform criminal, background and driving record searches on me. I understand that these reports maybe obtained for employment purposes in compliance with the Fair credit-reporting Act (“FCRA”). 15U.S.C 1681-1681u. I understand that I may request additional disclosures regarding the nature and scope of the investigation requested and a summary of my rights pursuant to 15 U.S.C 1681g (c). I do hereby release and agree to hold harmless Baucom’s Nursery and its agents, employees, volunteers, officers and directors from liability in utilizing this information for the purposes of evaluating me for employment with Baucom’s Nursery.
